Location: The Shootout Range, 310 Shootout Lane, Princeton, LA 71067
Description: Intermediate level handgun training focused on honing speed shooting skills required to excel in a variety of Practical Shooting disciplines. If you are a C Class, B Class, or low level A Class shooter whose speed is holding you back from reaching that next level, this class is for you. If when you try to shoot faster, your accuracy goes completely out the window, this class is for you. If you finish a stage of fire and don't feel confident that you know where 98% of your shots went, this class is for you.
NOTE: This is not a Babes with Bullets Camp! Students are responsible for their own transportation, lodging and meals. (We will plan to share our evening meals on Friday and Saturday night either at a local restaurant or have catering at the range.) Students must supply their own guns and gear that are suitable for Practical Pistol shooting. You are eligible for this class if you have the following qualifications.
- Experience drawing from a holster "under the clock".
- Firm understanding of safety requirements of Practical Shooting (Run & Gun) style competitions.
- You have competed in a Practical Shooting sport. (e.g., USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, 3-Gun.), or you have participated in a class taught by Kay Miculek, or you have participated in a Babes with Bullets' Camp and have continued to practice those skills you learned at the camp.
Recommended round count for this class is a minimum of 500 rounds. Students should arrive at the Shootout Range each morning at 8:00 am. Training will end each day around 4 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 1-2 pm on Sunday. There will be a one hour lunch break. Bottled water will be provided. Student are encouraged to bring other drinks and snacks that they may want throughout the day. Students may also want to consider bring a sack-lunch each day, although there are a couple of fast food places (Sonic & Arby's) nearby. A small refrigerator and cooler with ice will be available.
Travel & Lodging:
The Shootout Range is 27 miles from the Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV), and 225 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The range is located just minutes off of I-20 approximately 20 miles east of Bossier City, LA.
The following hotels are all within a 15 minute drive of the range and located near several good restaurants.
For GPS purposed use 310 Shootout Lane, Princeton, LA address. Once you are on Shootout Lane drive to the blue metal building at the end of the backtop road.
Cancellations/Refunds:
No refunds for cancellations received within 30 days of class unless opening can be filled with another student. Full refund, minus $50 refund fee will be issued for cancellations received 31 days before start of class.
If choosing the 50% Deposit payment option, the 50% Final payment is due 30 days before the first day of class. (February 22, 2023)
